SBOA - PLBS - ORAL EXAMINATION

I have conducted oral assessment long before the Education Ministry made it compulsory for Malaysian teachers to conduct this assessment. In 1990's, I have made it compulsory to my students as part of my formative test whereby oral presentation would count to 10 % of their Assessment 2 Test every year. This test back then I called it "Five-minute Talk". It was meant to give the students the chance to speak in front of the class or public. I taught them the art of public speaking and many more skills regarding spoken English. Please view some of the assessment that I had conducted for this year 2008. It was part of PMR of Form Three Students of my classes 3IS, 3 IR and 3 AF. These are fifteen years old kids hail from the area of Kepala Batas, Bukit Mertajam and Tasek Gelugor.

ENSCIMA CAMP 2006 & 2007

ENSCIMA CAMP 2006 & 2007 AT SMAI, POKOK SENA, KEPALA BATAS, SEBERANG PERAI, PULAU PINANG.

Every end of May, the panels of Science, Mathematics and English Language of SMAI will organize an Enscima Camp in the school compound. The targetted group is the Form One students with the Form Four Students become the facilitators. The teachers of the three panels will be the activities co-ordinators of each of the activities planned for the camp. The school hostel administration will provide the accommodation for all the participants and facilitators. Among the activities done in the previous session were "I am A poet" (my slot), "Numbers Attack", "Science Explorer" and "Magic Numbers". The two previous camps were a success and the one conducted in 2007 was covered in THE STAR dated 31 May, 2007. Hope to have another successful camp this year. Thank you so much to all the teachers, students, PTA, school administrators and everyone involved directly and indirectly in these camps. Without you, there will never be an Enscima Camp. ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN MY SCHOOL SMAI

Hi everyone!

I am a school teacher teaching at Kepala Batas, Penang, Malaysia. I would to share what we have at school and what we have done with the rest of the world. It might not be a perfect one, but at least, everyone can share ideas and hopefully my ex-students whom I have taught since 1992 would get in touch, come back to the school and contribute whatever you can to the younger generation of Irshadians.
